30 Days Songs Challenge: Day Seventeen
A song that would sing a duet with on karaoke
Just Give Me A Reason - P!nk feat. Nate Ruess
before this song existed I’m Yours would be my choice. Calendar Girl wasn’t selected because I wanted an equal m/f duet.
This song is a masterpiece, with beautiful melody and hints of Nate Ruess’ distinctive style of writing, which always touch a personal spot. A good song choice for karaoke too.
30 Days Songs Challenge: Day Sixteen
One of your favorite classical songs
O Sole Mio - Luciano Pavarotti
A good number of Classical music are in my favour, but this one is special. This song brings me back to my childhood. The first time I heard this was in Tom & Jerry, but was completely clueless to identify it. Years later during a piano lesson I was introduced to this song and ever since then I knew how to visit my childhood.
30 Days Songs Challenge: Day Thirteen
One of your favourite 80’s songs
There’s a Light That Never Goes Out - The Smiths
let me get this straight. i would put Bohemian Rhapsody but it’s a 1975 song. even thought this song is a release in 1992 but i’ve decided to not give two shit anymore because i am so pissed off.
but i like the Smiths so..
30 Days Songs Challenge: Day Twelve
A song from your pre-teen years
Monsoon - Tokio Hotel
they were the first. i was obsessed with this band before i made the transition to the music i now listen to. i am not embarrassed. in fact, they visited and performed in my country twice when i was 15, i was there, twice, and it was one of those highlights of my life.
30 Days Songs Challenge: Day Eleven
A song that you never get tired of
We Are Young - fun.
i’m not joking because i’m serious. this is serious. even though it’s overplayed. i’ve been listening to this at least twice a day since it came out. i’m still doing it.
i just think this song mastered the art of multifunctionalism:
thank you Nate, Jack, Andrew, Janelle, Jeff.
